Ohio Building Officials Association Conference - Feb 10-12, 2008

Hilton Hotel/Dana Conference Center, Toledo OH

With the 2006 code change cycle recently being completed, this forum will allow participants to interact with each other about the adopted code changes and what effect it has on our everyday duties. It will also provide the opportunity for face-to-face interaction and education about problems that are encountered throughout the building and fire code enforcement fields.

Stampin’ Up
Carole Garrett, a fabulous Stampin’ Up demonstrator will get everyone’s creative juices flowing on Monday morning with a number of stamping and crafting projects to take home, give away or simply wow your people. It will also be a good way for everyone to get acquainted before our other activities.

Carruth Studios
George Carruth, a local sculptor, Some of you may be familiar with his original designs which have been brightening homes and gardens of thousands of people since 1983. George’s work makes people smile. We will be treated to a tour of his studio and a trip to his retail store where the smiles will be plentiful.

Since the founding in 1901, the Toledo Museum of Art has earned a global reputation for the quality of their collection, innovative education programs, and architecturally significant campus. We will first be self-guided through the Glass Pavilion and then a guided tour of the highlights of the Museum.

Time allowing we may also visit the Libbey glass outlet.
